Welcome to Envirovoice.org

Have you ever wondered where your future is? Silicon Valley? Apple? Samsung? Microsoft? When I grow up, I want to be a techno-eco-warrior. A person who deals with technology, science and the environment. I have created many gadgets, using arduino and open source electronics. My most recent, yet prolonged creation is called the Water Way Warden, a portable, off grid, e.coli incubator. I have trialed it, and entered it into a few competitions, and won quite a few prizes.

My passion for the environment has inspired me to create this website, so I can inform and hopefully inspire you about the environment, technology and science, and how you can get involved.

Hopefully I will fulfill my duty as a techno-eco-warrior!

Goat Island Marine Reserve

Recently I visited Goat Island Marine Reserve in Leigh, New Zealand. The water was beautiful and clear, and when I immersed myself in the water, many varieties of fish and crabs were immediately visible. There aren’t as many fish as there would have been many years ago, but there are still more fish than you would find in many other beaches and marine reserves. Goat Island was packed with people snorkeling around. Apparently you can find eagle rays and jellyfish if you go further away from shore, I’ll be sure to try that next time.

I wish that all beaches were as clean and healthy as Goat Island. There is only so much water in the world and we need to care for it. I highly recommend you visit Goat Island in the beautiful New Zealand and remember to respect the environment.
